Dog Showers

Dogs can be a wonderful addition to the family.  One way to help minimize the maintenance dogs require is to add a dog shower in a convenient location near where the dog usually enters the home.  Consider adding one in your mud-room, laundry room or back hall.   For larger dogs, I recommend setting the shower into the floor.  This will allow your dog to easily enter and exit the shower area at all stages of his or her life.  If you have a small dog, which is light enough to easily lift, an elevated shower floor may be the best.  Bathing your dog on an elevated platform may be easier on your back.  Hand-held showers are a must, both for cleaning your dog and the shower.  Hooks for towels and a place to store grooming supplies should be easily accessible from this area.

Gardeners, equestrians and others who enjoy the outdoors in all kinds of weather will also appreciate the ease of getting the mud off their shoes and keeping the floor clean.  Paw prints lead the way!
