Alterations & Additions

NJ Home Additions

Home alterations, additions, remodeling, and other building projects are carefully designed by Susan M. Rochelle, A.I.A. Architect. As a wife and mother herself, Susan understands the inner workings of the home and today's demanding schedules. (Is a home office necessary? How many children might need to use the bathroom at one time? How much laundry is generated? Who does the cooking? Should the plans make provisions for pets?) Susan's homes, alterations, additions, and rooms are designed to meet today's lifestyle. Susan Rochelle develops strong working relationships and maintains open communication with her clients to make sure their needs are fulfilled with a rewarding and creative building experience. Her remodeling projects can be found on the east coast, including NJ and PA.

Hunterdon County Farmhouse

While this two-story quintessential farmhouse and wrap-around porch appear to have always been part of this hunterdon county farmland, this was originally a cape-cod style home.  The architectural design involved removing the roof and adding full height second story walls and a full, walk-up attic.  The informal dining area of the kitchen was made to appear as though the "old" porch was enclosed.
